If you are being treated for Depression, or if you have a history of Depression, talk to your doctor and an OptiHealth Medical-Fitness Technician about a Therapeutic Fitness Training program as part of your medical treatment plan.

Study:
Depression improved in both groups equally.
Exercise is as effective as anti-depressant medication in treating clinical Depression.
Mental abilities were also evaluated:
Mental Abilities improved in only the Exercise Group.
The Medication Group did not improve in Mental Abilities.
Conclusion: Recovery from clinical Depression is better when treated with exercise than with medication.
- 156 clinically depressed and sedentary persons.
- Randomly divided into 2 therapy groups.
- Medication Only Group & Exercise Only Group.
- Re-evaluated after 16 weeks of therapy.
