Watch the Video, Review the Notes, Take the Quiz.
Video Notes
Study to determine the predictors of longevity (instead of the risk factors of disease and mortality).

Results: High Fitness, specifically Aerobic Capacity (VO2-Max), is a better predictor of longevity than:
  • Blood Pressure
  • Cholesterol Levels
  • Type 2 Diabetes
  • Heart Disease
  • All of the above COMBINED!

The study suggests that a fitness assessment is superior to the traditional "physical exam" for predicting longevity.

Conclusion: Fitness Level is the best predictor of longevity.
