Push-Ups
Know how to do, and how to instruct others to do, push-ups.
(Watch the video on Youtube.)

Push-Up Instructions:
  • Hands on the ground shoulder-width apart
  • Body and legs straight with only the balls of the feet (males) or the knees (females) on the floor
  • Start with the arms extended
  • Lower the chest and thighs almost to the point of touching the floor
  • The body remains rigid
  • The elbows move closer to the hips than the shoulders
  • Return to the starting position
  • Complete at full arm extension

Modify as needed:
  • Only descend to the point of being able to comfortably push back up
  • Do incline push-ups by placing your hands on a bench or against a wall
  • Use a split stance in the incline push-up position and use the bent leg to assist the arm extension
