Medical-Fitness Technician Certification Course
Certification opens a variety of full or part-time career opportunities for new or aspiring health and fitness professionals, or community health volunteers.
No prior health or fitness experience is required. High school students (16+ years old) to retired (65+ years old) fitness enthusiasts are encouraged to enroll.
You will learn how to perform Medical-Fitness Assessments for healthy-active, healthy-sedentary, and sedentary with chronic disease individuals. You will also be qualified to issue Exercise Rx's and provide short-term Therapeutic Fitness Training.
Our certification course involves 18 hours of Online Study at your own pace, plus a 6-hour Field Practicum. Most of our students finish the course within 2 months on a very flexible, part-time schedule.
This course is designed to meet a growing need, but the service is not independently "billable" on public or private health plans. The ideal student has an entrepreneurial spirit and is willing to work in collaboration with community health organizations.
